Madrid hosted the 4th RESCCUE Project Committee Meeting

Last 20th and 21st November the whole RESCCUE consortium, composed by more than 40 researchers coming from 18 different partners from five countries, came together in Madrid to celebrate the 4th Project Committee Meeting (PCM). This meeting was organized by Aquatec – SUEZ Advanced Solutions and hosted by two RESCCUE members: The Foundation for Climate Research (FIC from its Spanish initials) based in Madrid, and Endesa, who provided their headquarters located in the Spanish capital for the event.  As in previous occasions, the meeting was aimed at updating different kind of issues, starting from technical and strategic ones, and finishing with the most global topics, related with the project dissemination and management.

The evet started with an introduction provided by the coordinators of the RESCCUE project, Aquatec - SUEZ Advanced Solutions, who highlighted the importance of the recently reached milestone of 18 months. Following, the achievements of each Work Package were presented and discussed. Once the plenary session was finished, all the attendees visited the Arroyofresno storm-water tank where they could learn more about integrated water management in the Madrid area. Finally, the day ended with an institutional dinner, in which the RESCCUE members had an opportunity to taste some Spanish traditional dishes.

The last PCM day consisted in parallel sessions on each of the three RESCCUE study cases, Barcelona, Bristol and Lisbon, followed by a plenary panel and a presentation of another topic-related H2020 project CLARITY. Lastly, the closing words were delivered. The next RESCCUE Project Committee Meeting is scheduled for June 2018, this time in Paris!
